Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon and 5k
The Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon and 5k takes place on May 23, 2026 at Goose Pond Colony Resort, 417 Ed Hembree Drive, Scottsboro, Alabama. The event program includes multiple divisions: Sprint Triathlon Individual, Sprint Clydesdale, Sprint Athena, Sprint Triathlon Relay, Sprint Aquabike, and a 5k Run/Walk.
The sprint triathlon distances are:
- 500 meter swim
- 14 mile bike
- 5K run that finishes near the transition area and uses the same course as the separate 5k event
Packet pickup is held the day before and on race morning at the grassy area just outside the Docks Restaurant. Participants should park on the north side of the pool and avoid parking by the transition area. Participants must complete check in before transition closes.
Race packets include a race t shirt and a swim cap that must be worn. All finishers receive a finisher medal. The triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon and USAT rules apply. Triathlon participants must purchase either a one day USAT license or an annual membership; youth license options are available. Awards are given to overall and age group finishers with additional top awards for Clydesdale and Athena categories and open relay divisions.
