Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k : Scottsboro, AL
The event takes place at Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23, 2026. It includes multiple triathlon divisions and a separate 5K Run/Walk that uses the same run course as the triathlon.
Distances for the sprint format:
- 500 meter swim
- 14 mile bike
- 5K run
- 5K Run/Walk (3.11 miles)
The swim starts from the end of a pier on a rectangular course with a beach exit. The bike and run courses are out-and-back routes; the run enters the campground and returns to the finish at transition. Race packets include a race t-shirt and a swim cap that must be worn; all finishers receive medals.
Triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon and require either a one-day USAT license or an annual membership; one-day and youth license fees are listed by the organizer. There are overall awards and age group awards by male and female divisions, awards for masters, and top placements in Clydesdale and Athena categories. Relay divisions include male, female, and co-ed teams.
The organizer has a no refund policy but offers optional event insurance during registration. In the event of natural or community disasters, the organizer will work with local officials on safety and course changes and will not issue refunds or free future entries.
