Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k
The Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k takes place at Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama on September 19, 2026. The event program includes multiple entry categories: individual sprint triathlon, Clydesdale and Athena divisions, relay teams, an aquabike division, and a separate 5k run/walk that follows the triathlon run course.
Race distances:
- 500 meter swim
- 14 mile bike
- 5K run (3.11 miles)
Packet pickup is scheduled Friday 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Saturday 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside the Docks Restaurant. Participants are asked to park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Participants must be checked in by 7:30 AM and transition closes at 7:45 AM.
Athlete packets include a race t-shirt and a required swim cap. Triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon and USAT rules apply; participants in sanctioned triathlon events must purchase either a one-day USAT license ($15), an annual membership ($50), or a youth license ($10). Bald Eagle Events offers optional event insurance during registration.
Awards include overall top three male and female finishers, top male and female masters, age-group awards for multiple age brackets, top three Clydesdale and Athena, and relay division awards. Bald Eagle Events has a no refund policy; race entries are non-transferable and courses may be altered for safety in consultation with local officials.
