Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k : September 19, 2026
The event takes place at Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama (417 Ed Hembree Drive, Scottsboro, AL 35769). It includes the following race categories: Sprint Triathlon Individual, Sprint Clydesdale, Sprint Athena, Sprint Triathlon Relay, Sprint Aquabike, and a 5k Run/Walk. The triathlon format is a 500 meter swim, a 14 mile bike, and a 5k run. The 5k Run uses the same course as the triathlon run portion. The swim starts at the end of the pier on a rectangular course with a beach exit. The bike and run are both out-and-back routes, with the run going into the campground and returning to the transition area.
Logistics, entry and rules
Packet pickup is scheduled Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM at the grassy area outside the Docks Restaurant. Participants are asked to park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Participants need to be checked in by 7:30 AM and transition closes at 7:45 AM. USAT rules apply for triathlon events; a one-day USAT license or annual membership is required for triathlon participants but is not required for the 5k. Race packets include a race t-shirt and a swim cap that must be worn. Entries are non-transferable and there is a no refund policy; optional event insurance is available during registration.
