Rainsville Freedom Run 10K
The Rainsville Freedom Run 10K & 5K will take place on June 6, 2026, in Rainsville, Alabama. This marks the 18th year of the event. Participants can choose from two race distances:
- 10K
- 5K
The races begin and end at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum on 1504 Main St E.
The event offers significant prize money for the top five overall male and female finishers in each race. For the 10K, prize money ranges from $1,000 for first place to $200 for fifth. For the 5K, prizes range from $600 for first place to $100 for fifth. There are also age group awards for participants aged 12 & under through 80+.
In addition to race prizes, the event features door prizes, including a $1,000 grand prize. Over its history, the event has raised approximately $600,000 for local charities, and funds from the 2026 edition will continue to support the community.
