Goleta Beach Splash & Dash
Goleta Beach Splash & Dash is a low-cost community series held at the newly renovated Goleta Beach Park (UCSB side). The event program combines open-water swims, road runs, and swim-run formats in a protected cove and park setting.
Distances and formats include:
- 400 meter swim plus 5K run
- 800 meter swim
- 5K run (3.1 miles)
- 100 meter swim plus 1.55 mile run (kids)
- 1.55 mile run (kids)
All competitive events are professionally RFID chip-timed. Results are posted online with five-year age groups and overall standings. Participants pick up timing chips and bib numbers at the park (UCSB side). Swim caps are not provided; participants should bring their own if needed. Parking at the venue is free.
The Splash & Dash runs as an eight-week series on Tuesdays from Jun 23 through Aug 11. Each week is a separate entry; online registration is required and fees vary by event: $15.00 for the swim/run, $12.50 for the 5K and 800 meter swim, and $2.50 for each kids event.
