Golden State Orienteering Champs

The Golden State Orienteering Champs is the third edition of California's state orienteering championships. Registration is open and there is an early deadline on April 5th.

The event is scheduled over three days in November: Friday, Nov. 6; Saturday, Nov. 7; and Sunday, Nov. 8. Each day features a different competition format: a Sprint at Madera Community College on Friday, a Middle distance at Eastman Lake on Saturday that also includes a Trail-O, and a Long race at Ruth McKenzie Table Mountain on Sunday. Organizers will use three new orienteering maps for these events.

Discounts are available for participants who take volunteer roles. Group camping has been reserved at Eastman Lake for the weekend. Results and photos from the 2024 and 2025 editions are noted as available from those years.

Information and registration materials are provided for the 2026 edition. The description focuses on the event formats, locations, mapping, volunteer discounts, and camping arrangements without specifying start or finish times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
