Event overview
The Sycamore Island 5k & 10k Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Sycamore Island in Madera, California. The event offers two distance options:
- 5k Run/Walk
- 10k Run/Walk
Proceeds from the event will benefit the San Joaquin River Parkway & Conservation Trust and Sycamore Island. All participants receive custom finisher medals and an event T-shirt. Awards are given to top performers in each category.
Race details and logistics
Courses use single-track trails and several miles of dirt roads on the 350-acre Sycamore Island property. The course will be marked with signs, directional arrows, and orange ribbon. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. There is one aid station located at about 1.5 miles; the 10k returns to this station at roughly 4.5 miles. Restrooms are available near the parking area and at points along the course. Parking inside Sycamore Island is free and volunteers will direct traffic near the entrance. Early bib pickup is scheduled for Saturday, January 10 at Fleet Feet Sports Fresno. Race day packet pickup is at Sycamore Island. The start/finish area is located on the northeast side of Sycamore Island. Course maps and additional participant information are provided by the organizer.
