Golden Gate Half Marathon

Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K - San Francisco

The Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for November 1, 2026 and marks the 24th edition of the event in the San Francisco Bay area. The half marathon course crosses the Golden Gate Bridge twice and offers views of the bay and city landmarks. The 5K is offered as a run or walk and follows a shorter course with views of San Francisco.

Race weekend materials and services include a race weekend guide, packet pick-up and race expo, an event schedule, official photos, travel and parking information, published results, and a VIP option. There are opportunities to get involved through the Golden State Challenge, volunteer roles, charity partnerships, ambassador activities, and a run club.

All registration fees are non-refundable. Management, city officials, and local law enforcement have the authority to cancel events for emergency purposes such as inclement weather, a pandemic, or a security threat; if the event is cancelled for such reasons, refunds will not be provided.
