Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K
The Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K takes place in San Francisco on November 1, 2026 and marks the 24th edition of the event. The half marathon course crosses the Golden Gate Bridge twice and includes views of the San Francisco Bay. The 5K route offers a shorter city course with views of San Francisco.
Race weekend includes packet pick-up and a race expo, an event schedule, and information on travel and parking. The start line is on Van Ness Avenue adjacent to Aquatic Park, with staging in Aquatic Park across from Ghirardelli Square. Registration policies state that all registration fees are non-refundable and that race management, city officials, or law enforcement may cancel events for emergency reasons, in which case refunds cannot be provided. Race photos are posted on the results page within 24 to 48 hours after the race, and participants also receive an email with their photos.
