Gold Rush Growler 10 Mile & 5K Trail Runs
The event takes place at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, with new courses for 2026 that run along the shoreline and on single-track trails. The two distance options are:
- 10 miles
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The 5K course starts at the south end of Granite Beach, heads north toward Oak Point and Old County, and returns to Granite Beach on a mix of new and established trails. The 10 mile course begins at South Granite Beach, follows park road and single-track sections past Oak Point, Doton’s Point, Beeks Bight and Nude Beach, uses the Jedi Trail and Original Climb to Dee’s Tree, and returns to Granite Beach via the Flow Trail and other trail segments.
Aid stations are located at Mile 2 (Doton’s Point), Mile 4.5 (Beeks Bight), and Mile 7.5 (Old County) and provide water, a FLUID performance electrolyte drink, and Hammer Gel. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed; runners are asked to exercise caution when crossing roads and using trails.
Registered competitors receive a Gold Rush finisher beer glass and access to ice cold local IPA for those 21 and older. A post-race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and a beverage is included. Commemorative race shirts are available for $20. Races use 10-year age groups for male and female divisions and award overall champions plus three-deep age group awards. TBF Racing maintains a no refund policy with credits and transfers subject to processing fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
