  • Half Marathon (about 14 miles)
  • Marathon (just under 26 miles)
  • 50K (slightly shorter than an official 50K)

Courses and logistics

The route follows mostly single-track trail with sections of unpaved forest road and less than a mile of pavement to the finish. Maximum elevation reaches about 1,619 feet. Cumulative elevation gain is approximately 1,500 ft for the half, 3,500 ft for the marathon, and 3,700 ft for the 50K. The organizer describes the course as difficult.

Aid stations supply water, electrolyte drink, and snacks at multiple mile points; portable toilets are at the start and finish and at specified on-course locations. The race is cupless: runners must carry their own hydration vessel. A mandatory shuttle runs from the Joyce area to the start and return shuttles operate from the finish. The trail remains open to the public during the race; runners must yield to horses and expect other users.

Packet pickup is available Friday at Mighty Pine Brewing and Saturday from the hayfield across from the Joyce Museum. Awards go to first overall male, female, and non-binary finishers in each distance; there are no age-group awards or finisher medals. The refund policy includes a 50% refund until August 15 and no refunds after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
