Gloucester 10k
The Gloucester 10k takes place in the city of Gloucester and follows a route designed to showcase local landmarks. The event is organized by the Rotary Club of Gloucester Quays and functions as a community fundraiser, with proceeds supporting local charities such as the Rotary Big Space Cancer Appeal and the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
The race follows a predominantly flat, one-lap course that is partially retraced. The route is traffic-free and consists of road surfaces, footpaths, and towpaths. Participants run through the city centre, passing the Cathedral, the Docks, and Gloucester Quays, as well as several sections along the canal towpath. While the course includes some turns to accommodate the sightseeing route, it is characterized as a fast layout.
Participants can access water stations at the 4 km and 8 km marks, and distance markers are placed at every 1 km interval. The event has a capacity of 1,000 runners and is chip-timed. Entrants must be at least 15 years old to participate.
Available distances:

Facilities at the venue in Gloucester Park include toilets and supervised bag storage, though no changing rooms are available. Participants receive a medal and a t-shirt upon completion, and prizes are awarded across various categories. Parking is available at several public car parks located near the venue.
