Alderton 5k Run
Alderton 5k Run takes place in Alderton, Gloucestershire on 05 Sep 2026. The event is a community 5km road race with all proceeds supporting Alderton Acorns Pre School and Toddlers.
The course is an out and back on closed, quiet country lanes. It runs from Alderton past the hamlet of Great Washbourne, turns before the A46 at Beckford and returns along Beckford Road into Alderton Playing Field, where runners complete a short lap of the football pitch and finish near the penalty spot. The course is described as fairly flat and has kilometre markers.
Race HQ is on Alderton Playing Field, Beckford Road, GL20 8NL. Race numbers are available to collect at Race HQ between 09.30 and 10.50. Parking is signposted next to the playing field. Toilets are in the sports pavilion and bag storage is provided with no liability for loss or damage.
Event services include a free finishers medal, finish-line photos, provisional and final timing, water at the start, the turn and the finish, and a post-race massage. The organiser offers a no-questions-asked refund policy. Under 16s, dogs, pushchairs and escorted runners are welcome; children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.
