Glen Rosa Horseshoe

Registration

The Glen Rosa Horseshoe is a challenging Category AL Scottish hill race held on the Isle of Arran, starting from the Brodick Castle Rangers Centre. Covering 20km with a total ascent of 1670m, the race features a clockwise loop navigating four summits in Glen Rosa, mostly unmarked and running over heather and granite. Competitors must be experienced in similar races and capable of navigation in poor weather.

The event includes checkpoints and cut-off times, with mandatory kit including map and compass. Locally sourced prizes are awarded across various categories. The race, originally started in 1989, was revived in 2025 and encourages eco-friendly travel to the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
