Isle of Arran (Shiskine Valley) Half Marathon
The event is a half marathon taking place on the Isle of Arran on 28 June 2026. It is organised jointly by Arran Runners and Shiskine Valley Improvements, with registration, start and finish at Blackwaterfoot Playing Field.
Entries open on 4 March 2026 and close on 22 June 2026. Entry fees are listed for Scottish Athletics members and non members. Competitors must be 17 years or older on the day. Entry requires a SiEntries account. At the time of publication there are 58 participants entered.
The course is a road race and is not closed to traffic. It is marked at every mile and has at least five water stations. For safety, headphones are not permitted. Medical cover is provided by ABC Arran and timekeeping will be by ProTay. A public toilet is available in Blackwaterfoot and participants can leave bags securely on the field. Trophies are awarded to the first male and female finishers and awards are presented in categories including SM, SW, First Island Resident and First Team of 3.
There are no changing or showering facilities at the playing field; limited facilities may be available at Kinloch Hotel by advance enquiry. Because the event is community run, refunds are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
