The Glen Lyon Trail Race is set for 7 June 2026 at Pubil, Glen Lyon, Perthshire PH15 2PX. The course is 15.5 miles, fully off road, and follows a loop of Loch Lyon. The route includes around six river crossings and an initial steep climb followed by an undulating section for most of the distance, finishing at Glen Lyon Dam. Total ascent is listed as about 1,500 ft. There is a water station at around 8 miles. Camping is available at Glen Lyon Dam on the Saturday night and runners toilets are provided. The race fee includes a race memento and a goody bag; a technical race t-shirt is an optional extra.
Entry, kit and rules
The entry fees are shown as £36 (discounted) and £38 (standard). The event capacity is 150 places and the event is open for entries. Runners must attend the pre-race briefing and carry mandatory kit. Mandatory items include a foil blanket, water container, food/energy snacks, a working mobile phone with the race control number entered, a small first aid kit, and a race vest to hold these items. Recommended items are listed separately and include waterproofs and warm layers.
Key rules: ID is required at registration, no transfer of places, no entry on race day, no walking poles, no support runners or dogs, no muling, and no open fires at the campsite.
