Glen Lyon Trail Race
The Glen Lyon Trail Race is a 15.5-mile off-road running event set in the remote and scenic Glen Lyon in the Perthshire hills, Scotland. The course loops around Loch Lyon, featuring approximately six river crossings that ensure wet feet, a steep climb shortly after the start, and an undulating terrain for the remainder of the race, finishing at Glen Lyon Dam. A water station is available around the 8-mile mark.
Camping and runner facilities are provided at the dam the night before the race. Participants must carry mandatory kit including a first aid kit and follow strict race rules and COVID-19 protocols. The event offers a race memento and goody bag, with an optional technical t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
