Event overview
The Glen Lyon Trail Race takes place on 7 June 2026 in Glen Lyon, Perthshire (Pubil, PH15 2PX). The event is a 15.5 mile off-road loop around Loch Lyon with approximately 1,500 ft of ascent. The route includes a steep climb shortly after the start, an undulating profile for most of the distance, and finishes back at Glen Lyon Dam. Logistics, rules and kit

Key requirements and rules include compulsory attendance at the pre-race briefing, ID at registration, no transfers or on-the-day entry, no dogs, no walking poles, and no support runners. Ibuprofen should not be taken during the event; paracetamol is advised as safer for aches. Camping is available at Loch Lyon Dam on the night before the race; runners’ toilets are provided and open fires are not permitted.
