About the race
The Fall Season Celebratory 5K (3.1 miles) in Steamboat Springs takes place on November 7, 2026 at Strawberry Park Elementary School, 39620 Amethyst Drive, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. The event closes the Girls on the Run season and provides participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
The finish is marked by a celebration village with booths and merchandise for sale. Every program participant receives a commemorative medal; every registered person who completes the 5K receives a medal and Girls on the Run Western Colorado swag. Family, friends and community members may also participate if they register. All registrations include a liability waiver. Program participants and coaches are already registered and do not need to register again.
The course is intended to be accessible for people with disabilities; designated accessible parking spots are available. For safety, every participant must wear a race bib, each participant is paired with a running buddy, and staff and volunteers follow a council safety plan that includes course monitoring, head counts, and emergency response training.
Steamboat Grand is listed as providing a discounted lodging rate for the event weekend; the lodging offer includes a two night minimum stay. Rooms are subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
