About the race
The Foundry Halloween Fun Run closes the Steamboat Springs Running Series season with a community oriented event that emphasizes a safe, sober, family friendly atmosphere. The event benefits The Phoenix, an organization that hosts weekly sober events and activities to create safe spaces for connection, support, and recovery.
The course mixes trail and road and follows an out and back route that starts and ends in the parking lot of Soda Creek Elementary School in Steamboat Springs. The route winds through Butcher Knife Creek, continues up Spring Creek, and turns around at the pond. Participants are advised that there is no aid station on the course and that themed characters may appear along the route.
