Foundry Halloween Run
The Foundry Halloween Run is a community 5k held in Steamboat Springs on October 31, 2026. The race starts and ends in the parking lot of Soda Creek Elementary School at 220 Park Ave, Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It is presented as a Halloween event that emphasizes a sober, family-oriented atmosphere.
The course uses a mix of trail and road. Runners leave the school, run through Butcher Knife Creek, continue up Spring Creek, turn around at the pond and return on the same route for an out-and-back course. There is no aid station on the course. Participants may encounter costumed characters along the route.
Costumes are highly encouraged and leashed dogs are welcome to join. Halloween treats and family activities are provided after the race. Awards are given for first, second and third place for males and females. Every participant is entered automatically in a prize raffle that follows the awards ceremony.
The event benefits The Phoenix, an organization that runs weekly sober events and activities to support community, connection and recovery. Packet pickup and in-person registration are available near the start on race day. A race T-shirt is offered for an additional fee and may not be available after October 17.
