Event Overview
The Foundry Halloween Run is part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series and takes place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 31st, 2026.
The race has a single distance of 5 km. The course starts and finishes in the parking lot of Soda Creek Elementary School in Steamboat Springs.
This event supports Foundry Steamboat Springs, a local non-profit organization focused on recovery programs. All Steamboat Springs Running Series races benefit local non-profit groups, and there are no refunds on registration fees.
Course and Format
The course uses a mix of trail and road. Runners start at Soda Creek Elementary, follow the path through Butcher Knife Creek, then head up Spring Creek to a pond and return on the same route for an out-and-back 5 km race. There is no aid station on the course.
Halloween costumes are encouraged. Leashed dogs and other leashed pets are welcome on the course. Halloween treats and family activities are available after the race.
Registration and Fees
Registration opens on January 1st, 2026. Race day registration and packet pickup take place near the start area.
Entry fees vary by age and date, with different prices for runners 18 & over and 17 & under, and higher fees for in-person registration. T-shirts are available for an additional fee and may not be available after mid-October.
Awards and Prizes
An awards ceremony takes place shortly after the race near the start and finish area. Prizes are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. All participants are entered in a prize raffle that follows the awards ceremony. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
