Girls on the Run St. Louis 5K : 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run St. Louis 5K is a season-closing, celebratory event held on November 14, 2026 in Forest Park, St. Louis, MO. The event gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment by completing a 5K (3.1 miles) course that takes place entirely within Forest Park.
Every registered 5K participant receives a commemorative medal, a GOTR giveaway item, and finish line snacks. The event includes a Race Village and School Village with tents for merchandise, packet pick-up, registration, t-shirts, Happy Hair, and food trucks. The course is chip timed and results are posted online after the event. To reduce crowding, groups and community runners are released in a staggered wave from the start line.
Packet pickup for community participants and running buddies is available the day before the race at Big River Running store locations in West County, University City, and South City. Several parking options are planned near Race Village, including Visitor Center lots about 0.5 miles from the Muny, limited street parking, and public transit access via the MetroLink Forest Park station. Limited accessible parking is available.
The event welcomes family and community members as registered participants. A Running Buddy accompanies a program participant for the full course. Dogs are not allowed on course and strollers are strongly discouraged. Volunteers staff many roles on race day and must complete required background checks.
