2026 Girls on the Run Fall 5K Presented by Husco
The event is a season-closing 5K celebration held in Milwaukee at American Family Field Tailgate Haus on Sunday, November 8, 2026. It serves as the final event for Girls on the Run programs and provides participants with a measurable goal to complete at the end of the season.
The course length is 3.1 miles. The event is presented as a celebratory, inclusive experience where participants are encouraged to walk, run, push or roll at their own pace. A 5K buddy accompanies each program participant for the duration of the course. Every program participant receives a commemorative medal, and every registered 5K participant receives a Girls on the Run T-shirt. Program participants and coaches are registered through the program and do not need additional registration.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place. All participants must wear a bib. The council maintains safety plans, limits access to confidential information to critical volunteers, and has police and emergency medical technicians on site. Designated parking and accommodations support participants with disabilities, and the council works with myTEAM TRIUMPH to assist finish-line access. Service animals must be properly identified. Liability waivers are required with registration.
Volunteers support many event functions, including event set up and clean up, registration, welcome and greeter roles, kids activities, merchandise, water stops, start and team meeting areas, finish line refreshments, and packet pick-up prior to the event.
