Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin 5K is a season-closing, celebratory event held at American Family Field Tailgate Haus in Milwaukee on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The event is presented by Husco and centers on giving program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment through completing a 3.1 mile course.
The event is framed as noncompetitive; participants are encouraged to walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace. Every registered participant receives a Girls on the Run T-shirt, and program participants receive a commemorative medal. Program participants and coaches are already registered through the council and do not need to register separately. General registration fees listed by the council are $30 for adults (ages 16 and up) and $15 for youth (ages 15 and under).
Safety measures include mandatory bibs for participants, assignment of a 5K buddy for each participant, council safety plans, and on site public safety and medical coverage. The course and event facilities are described as accessible, with designated parking and partnership with myTEAM TRIUMPH to support participants who need assistance crossing the finish line.
The council operates a 5K Village with kids activities and merchandise sales, and it recruits volunteers for roles such as set up, registration, water stops and finish line support.
