Event details
The Lakefront Discovery Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The race area is at Veteran's Park, 1010 N Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202. The event includes the following distances:
- 15k
- 5k
- Kid's Costume Race (free)
The course follows Milwaukee’s lakefront and begins at Veteran's Park. Candy-laden aid stations are placed along the route and MONSTER MILE markers are used. A heated tent will be available for post-race activities. Each runner and volunteer receives an event t-shirt; runners who register after October 18 are not guaranteed a shirt. Traditional post-race snacks and music are provided.
Registration, fees and awards
Registration opens May 17, 2026. Pre-race fees are listed as: 15k $45 and 5k $35 (Badgerland Striders members receive a $5 discount). Race day registration is available at Veteran's Park with fees of 15k $50 and 5k $40. Early packet pick up is offered on October 28 at Central Waters Brewing Taproom (1037 W. Juneau Ave, Milwaukee), October 29 at Performance Running Outfitters - Brookfield (2205 N. Calhoun Rd, Brookfield), and October 30 at Performance Running Outfitters - Shorewood (4533 N. Oakland Ave, Shorewood).
Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and 1st-3rd in age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over. Separate awards are listed for Best Costume in Female, Male, and Group categories. Sponsors include Performance Running and Central Waters. Volunteers receive a race shirt.
