Event overview
The Lakefront Discovery Run takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event begins at Veteran's Park (1010 N Lincoln Memorial Drive) and uses routes along Milwaukee’s lakefront. Course features include candy-laden aid stations and marked "Monster Mile" segments. Each registered runner and volunteer receives an event t-shirt (participants who register after October 18 are not guaranteed a shirt). Post-race provisions include snacks and a heated tent for the post-race area. Costume awards are presented in female, male, and group categories, and both runners in costume and runners not in costume receive beer at the event.

Registration opens May 17, 2026. Pre-race fees listed are $45 for the 15k and $35 for the 5k; Badgerland Striders members receive a $5 discount. Race-day registration is available at Veteran's Park with listed race-day fees of $50 for the 15k and $40 for the 5k. Early packet pick-up locations are Central Waters Brewing Taproom and two Performance Running Outfitters stores in Brookfield and Shorewood. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers plus first through third in standard age-group divisions from 14 and under through 80 and over.
