Lakefront Discovery Run
The Lakefront Discovery Run takes place on October 31, 2026, in Milwaukee, starting at Veteran's Park (1010 N Lincoln Memorial Drive). The event offers multiple distances and a separate kids costume race.

The course follows Milwaukee's lakefront and includes candy-laden aid stations and Monster Mile markers along the route. Age-group awards and overall awards are given for the 15k and 5k events. Separate Best Costume awards are presented for female, male, and group entries. Participants in costume receive free beer; the event notes that all participants receive beer regardless of costume status.
Each runner and volunteer receives an event t-shirt; runners who register after October 18 are not guaranteed a shirt. The event provides traditional post-race snacks, themed music, and a heated tent for post-race activity. Pre-race registration fees listed on the event page include a member discount for Badgerland Striders: 15k $45, 5k $35 (members receive a $5 discount). Race day fees are listed as 15k $50 and 5k $40.
