Event Overview

The Vets Day 5K & 10K takes place at the War Memorial in Milwaukee. It is presented by Cargill and hosted by Silver Circle Sports Events.

Course Details

The event takes place in Veterans Park. The start and finish line is located on Mason Street, directly in front of the War Memorial. The 10K course consists of two laps and measures approximately 6.26 miles. There is one aid station on the course that the 10K participants will pass four times; it provides water.

Event Features

The event is held to honor veterans and active-duty service members. It is part of the Wisconsin Chilly Willy Winter Run Series. The event partners with the Silver Circle Foundation to raise money for Operation Finally Home, an organization that builds mortgage-free homes for veterans and their families. Participants are encouraged to do 22 pushups before the race to honor Project 22.

A post-race hot chocolate bar is available. All participants receive a finisher "woodle" from Ridgeway Woodworks. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers in five-year age groups. An awards ceremony is held after the race.

Logistics and Registration

Packet pickup is available on race day. Participants must present a digital or printed email receipt with a scannable QR code. The event is chip-timed. There is a policy of no refunds for any reason.
