Girls on the Run "So Much Fun" - Tampa
The Girls on the Run "So Much Fun" event takes place on November 21, 2026 at Al Lopez Park in Tampa, FL. The main event is a community 5K that is open to the public and serves as a celebration for participants.
This 5K is the culminating event for girls who completed the eight-week Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole program. In the weeks before the 5K, those programs work with girls to build confidence and life skills.
The event atmosphere emphasizes movement and individual expression. Participants are encouraged to walk, run, skip, hop or dance at their own pace. Costumes and celebratory attire such as capes, tutus, crowns and colorful hairdos are common, and the event features cheering and encouragement along the course.
Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes November 19, 2026. The registration fee is $35. Strollers are permitted on the course. Children age four and younger do not need to register.
