Girls on the Run Northeast Ohio 5K Celebration
The event is a season-closing, celebratory 5K (3.1 miles) held on Sunday, November 15, 2026 at Mayfield High School, 6116 Wilson Mills Rd., Mayfield Village, OH 44143. It is the closing event for Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs and is intended to give program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment; program participants and coaches are already registered and do not need to register again.
Registration options and prices are published for non-program participants. Early bird online registration is listed at $35 for children under 7 and $39 for ages 8 and up. Standard online registration is $40 for under 7 and $45 for ages 8 and up. Late, in-person registration at packet pickup or the event is $50 for under 7 and $55 for ages 8 and up. A virtual runner option is available for $40 and includes a Girls on the Run t-shirt and race bib. A Star Supporter option is listed at $195.
Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a commemorative medal. All registrations include a liability waiver. Packet pickup details are noted as coming soon. The event council sells merchandise and schedules additional activities for the day.
Safety procedures require participants to wear a race bib, and the course is monitored with head counts; the council reports a safety plan and trained staff and volunteers. The 5K is described as accessible for people with disabilities, and attendees may walk, run, push, or roll at their own pace. Volunteers are sought for roles such as set-up and tear down, registration, course crew, water stops, merchandise, and cheer stations.
