Girls on the Run Northeast Ohio 5K Celebration
The event is a season-closing, celebratory 5K held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Mayfield High School in Mayfield Village, OH. The 5K is the final activity of the Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs and is intended to give program participants a clear sense of accomplishment. Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal.
Registration is available in several tiers. Early bird and standard online registration options are listed, with higher fees for late or day-of registration. A virtual runner option includes a Girls on the Run t-shirt and a race bib. A Star Supporter registration provides a full scholarship to a future participant. Program participants and coaches are already registered through their council and do not need to register again.
The event is designed to be accessible: participants may walk, run, push, or roll the course, and strollers are permitted with no fee if the child remains in the stroller for the entire 5K. All participants must wear a race bib, and registration includes a liability waiver. The council maintains a safety plan, monitors the course with head counts, and trains staff and volunteers in emergency response.
