Fall Classic
The Fall Classic takes place in Strongsville, Ohio, celebrating its 50th anniversary at the Bonnie Park Picnic Area. Organized by the Cleveland Road Runners Club, this event is spread across two days within the Cleveland Metroparks. The courses are primarily located on Valley Parkway and are characterized as flat and fast.
Participants can choose from several race formats:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km): A USA Track & Field certified course.
- 5K (5 km): A USA Track & Field certified course.
- Relay Half Marathon: Split between participants who receive a runner belt.
- 5K Ruck: A 3.1 mile division that includes a specific patch.
- Kids Dash (400m): A short distance race for children.
- Foxy Challenge: A multi-day event consisting of the 5K on Saturday and the half marathon on Sunday.
The 5K, ruck, and youth events occur on the first day, while the half marathon and relay follow on the second day. Participation is limited to 1,000 runners per day. Registration for all participants includes a 1/4 zip pullover, a finisher medal, and chip timing with live results.
An early start option is available for walkers on the day of the half marathon. Parking is located at the RTA parking lot at the corner of the Rt. 80 entrance and Pearl Road. Awards are presented to overall winners, masters, grand masters, and the top three finishers in age groups ranging from under 19 to over 80.
