The event is presented by the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission in Elyria, Ohio. It includes multiple distances and formats held at Ely Square Park with packet pickup and a post race reception at the Foundry Kitchen and Bar on Broad Street.

The course is USATF certified for the 22K and for 13.1 miles; participants on the 22K receive a 13.1 mile split time. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third overall male and female finishers for the full 22K distance. Awards include overall and five-year age group prizes for the 22K and 11K.
All participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt, a glass, a patch, and a finisher medal; there is an option to order an additional 3/4 zip. The post race reception and food are provided at the Foundry Event Center and Foundry Kitchen. Parking is available in lots around Ely Square, including the county courthouse lot, nearby bank lots, behind Erie Island Coffee, and a parking garage off Temple Court Street.
