Rochester 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Rochester 5K is a non-competitive, celebratory regional event for Girls on the Run teams from Rochester and surrounding areas. It is scheduled for Saturday November 7, 2026 at Saint Mary's University - Rochester Campus (2900 19th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901). The course distance is 3.1 miles.
Program participants and coaches are already registered through their program. Community members, family, and friends may also register; the standard registration fee is $40 with a pay-what-you-can option. Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a bib, t-shirt, commemorative medal, and post-race food.
Every girl attending must have a registered 5K Buddy, defined as a trusted adult 18 or older who can run or walk alongside her. The event is accessible for participants with disabilities and permits strollers when users start at the back of the field. Pets are not allowed, and rollerblades, scooters, and bicycles are not permitted for safety reasons.
Volunteers support course marshalling, water stops, registration, team materials, parking, and post-race food distribution. Volunteer assignments and arrival details are communicated to volunteers before the event. Local and national partners and sponsors support the event.
