Rochester 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Minnesota Rochester 5K is a celebratory, non-competitive regional 5K held on Saturday November 7, 2026 at Saint Mary's University - Rochester Campus (2900 19th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901). The event closes the season and gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Program participants and coaches from Rochester and surrounding areas are automatically registered and do not need to register online. Family, friends and community members may join but must register; the standard registration fee is $40 with a pay-what-you-can option. Every girl attending must have a registered 5K Buddy, defined as a trusted adult 18 or older who can walk or run alongside her. All adults participating in the 5K must register.
The course is 3.1 miles. Registered participants who complete the 5K will receive a bib, a t-shirt, a commemorative medal and post-race food. The event is accessible for participants with disabilities and provides designated parking; participants may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace. Strollers are welcome but asked to start at the back of the field. Pets, rollerblades, scooters and bicycles are not allowed for safety reasons.
Volunteers support roles such as course marshal, water stop, registration, parking, post-race food and team materials. Volunteer assignments and arrival details are provided to volunteers prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
