About the race
The Rochester Turkey Trot 5K is scheduled for November 26, 2026 in Rochester, MN and is presented as the event's tenth annual running. The event base is Soldier’s Memorial Field Park, West Shelter at 244 Soldiers Field Dr. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. The program includes a 5K race and a Kids Dash.
The course is entirely on paved trail and the race is chip timed with a course time limit of 1 hour 20 minutes. Runners and walkers may participate; strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only and a parent or guardian must sign a waiver for children in strollers. Dogs are not permitted. The event operates rain, snow or shine unless dangerous conditions require delay.
Event gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Darlin’ donuts are available at the finish line. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group and overall in chip-timed categories; Kids Dash participants receive a finisher ribbon. Record times listed for the 5K are 15:24 for males (2022) and 19:42 for females (2017).
The event supports Red Drop Resources, which assists people receiving care for blood cancers in Rochester. Results feed into the nationwide Thankful Turkey national leaderboard and live participant tracking is available through the RaceJoy app. Parking at Soldiers Memorial Field Park is limited; downtown ramps and surface lots are noted as alternatives.
