Go For the Gold Rochester
Go For the Gold Rochester is the 35th anniversary fundraiser held on October 31, 2026, at Cascade Park and the Cascade Lakeside Building area in Rochester, MN. The event benefits Brighter Tomorrows, Inc. and Cy's Place, and raises funds to support families affected by childhood cancer.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes multiple distances and race formats:
- Children's races 50, 100, 200, 400 meters
- 3K Family Walk
- 5K run (chip timed for the in-person 5K)
- 10K run
Reduced registration pricing applies for children and seniors; children 12 and under have a reduced fee. Virtual race and walk options remain available following prior years with remote participation and time submission.
Race bag pickup is scheduled the day before the event and participants registered by October 1 will receive a race shirt at pickup in the designated size; later registrants may have limited shirt availability. Mailing of race bags and shirts is available for an additional shipping and handling fee. Proceeds and donations support Brighter Tomorrows’ ongoing family services and Cy's Place, a 501(c)(3) project planning affordable apartments on a purchased nine-acre lot to house and support out-of-town families with immunocompromised children receiving treatment.
