Go For the Gold Rochester
Go For the Gold Rochester is a fundraiser held on October 31, 2026 at the Cascade Lakeside Building and Cascade Park area in Rochester, MN. The event marks its 35th anniversary and raises funds for Brighter Tomorrows, Inc. and Cy's Place to support families affected by childhood cancer. Proceeds help provide practical and emotional support that continues beyond treatment.
The event offers both in-person races and virtual options. In-person activities include timed and untimed runs, a family walk, and children’s races for young participants. Registration prices vary by event and include reduced fees for children 12 and under and for seniors; some events are chip timed.
Cy's Place is a separate 501(c)(3) project associated with the fundraiser that is developing affordable apartments and support for out-of-town families with immuno-compromised children receiving cancer treatment or organ transplants at Mayo Clinic Rochester; a 9 acre lot in Rochester has been acquired for that project.
