Girls on the Run Minnesota Duluth 5K
The Girls on the Run Minnesota Duluth 5K is a season-closing, celebratory event held at Leif Erikson Park on November 7, 2026. The event provides program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment by completing a 5K (3.1 miles) and crossing a finish line that concludes the season.
Program participants and coaches are already registered for the 5K and do not need to register again. Public registration is available; the listed registration fee is $40 with a pay-what-you-can option. Every girl must have a registered 5K Buddy, a trusted adult age 18 or older who can run or walk alongside her; all 5K Buddies and other nonparticipant community members must register.
Registered participants who complete the 5K receive a bib, a t-shirt, a commemorative medal and post-race food. The event is described as accessible for people with disabilities, with provisions so participants can walk, run, push or roll and with designated parking spots. For safety, all participants must wear a provided 5K bib, the course is monitored, and staff and volunteers follow a safety plan and receive training. Pets are not allowed at the event.
