Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay 5K Celebration is a season-closing event on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Al Lopez Park in Tampa, Florida. The event serves as the culminating celebration for girls who completed the eight-week Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole programs. It is open to the public; family members and community participants may register separately while program participants and coaches are already registered.
The event offers both a 5K and a shorter distance:
- 5K approximately 3.1 miles
- 1 Mile
Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a medal and an event t shirt. Children age four and younger do not need to register. Strollers are permitted on the course. Pets are not allowed in Celebration Village or on the course. The course is described as accessible for people with disabilities and designated parking is available.
Packet pick-up for community participants takes place at Al Lopez the day before the event or on event day. The event includes organized warm-ups, water stations, a Happy Hair station, a Bling Your Bib station, and merchandise available for sale. Spirit signs measuring 24 by 16 inches can be purchased for $25 and are displayed along the course; orders must be placed by Friday, April 10th.
