Girls on the Run 5K - San Antonio
Girls on the Run South Central Texas holds a season-closing celebratory 5K at Mission County Park, 6030 Padre Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214, on Sunday, November 15th. The event offers program participants a concrete goal and a visible sense of accomplishment; every girl registered in the program receives a commemorative medal. Registered participants also receive a Girls on the Run Bexar County race shirt, and official volunteers receive a volunteer shirt.
The course is a standard 5K distance of 3.1 miles and is accessible for participants who wish to walk, run, push, or roll. The council uses running buddies to pair an adult or designated partner with each participant on course. Liability waivers are required with registration. Additional event elements include vendors and food trucks, a race village with festival activities such as face painting, bling your bib and happy hair stations, and a merchandise booth.
