Girls on the Run Spring 2026 5K, San Antonio
The Girls on the Run Spring 2026 5K takes place on May 2, 2026 at Mission County Park in San Antonio, TX. The event is presented by Girls on the Run Bexar County and uses a curriculum that integrates running to support social and physical development.
The 5K marks the conclusion of the spring season and is intended to provide participants with a tangible sense of accomplishment and a framework for setting and achieving goals. The event is open to the public and proceeds are directed toward scholarships; no girl is turned away from the program for economic reasons.
A course map is provided by the organizer. All finishers receive a Girls on the Run towel at the finish line, with towels offered cold if conditions warrant. Finisher medals are reserved for girls who participated in the Girls on the Run program to recognize completion of the program's 10 week curriculum, with the 5K as the final lesson.
Registration guarantees a T shirt for entries completed by April 15, 2026; after April 16 T shirts are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Entry fees are non refundable. The 5K Run Walk fee is listed as $30, increasing to $35 on March 19 and $40 on race day. Awards include overall male and female winners, masters categories, and 10 year age group awards for the top three finishers, with overall awards based on gun time.
