Girls on the Run 5K in San Antonio
Girls on the Run South Central Texas holds a season closing 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 15 at Mission County Park, 6030 Padre Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214. The event serves as the final celebration of the program season and gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
The course is a standard 5K (3.1 miles) and is accessible for people with disabilities; designated accessible parking is available. Every girl registered in the program receives a commemorative medal and a race shirt. Family members, friends, and community members may also participate but must register separately. Vendors and food trucks will be present in the park, and the day includes festival activities such as face painting, bling your bib, happy hair, and other Star Power Zone features.
Packet pick-up is available in advance at the Girls on the Run South Central Texas office at 10223 McAllister Freeway Suite 101 and at iRun at the Dominion, with on site packet pick-up at Mission County Park on race day. Program participants will receive race packets from their coaches on race morning. Volunteers support many roles on event day; volunteers of all ages must submit the volunteer application and those 18 or older are subject to background checks.
