GFNY Florida Hardee 5k
The GFNY Florida Hardee 5k is a fast, flat run and walk held on fully police-monitored roads as part of the GFNY Florida Hardee Endurance Sports Festival in Hardee County, Florida. The course uses paved public roads and provides nearby parking at the start and finish area.
Packet pickup for the 5k is at the Hardee County Agri Civic Center, the same location used for the GFNY cycling race. The course starts and finishes on Rodeo Drive. From Rodeo Drive the route turns left onto Altman Road, then left onto West Main Street, then left onto Doyle Carlton Road. There is a water station at mile 2.05. After following Doyle Carlton Road for about another half mile the route turns right and returns to the finish on Rodeo Drive.
Perks included with the 5k are an official singlet, individual chip timing, and a finisher medal. Chip timing records each athlete individually, starting after crossing the start line and stopping at the finish line. Finishers earn credit toward GFNY multi-finisher medals, including the 3x and 10x options. Sponsors listed for the event include Michelob Ultra and Never2.
