SendMeMissions 5K Run/Walk
The SendMeMissions 5K is an annual night race held in Wauchula, Florida. The event celebrates its 15th anniversary with a variety of distances held in the downtown area. The main route takes participants through Historic Downtown Wauchula, with the finish line and awards ceremony located at Heritage Park on Main Street. The event includes several participation options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 880 Yards (Kids 1/2 Dash)
- 3.1 Miles (Virtual Race)
The 880 Yards Kids 1/2 Dash is restricted to participants aged 12 and under. The 1 Mile Fun Run is open to all ages. Both of these shorter distances follow a loop around Downtown Wauchula and finish on Main Street. A virtual race option is available for those who prefer to complete a 3.1 Miles distance at a location of their choice, such as a park, neighborhood, or on a treadmill.
Awards for the 5K are presented to overall winners and top finishers in multiple age categories, ranging from 8 and under to 70 and above. Participants in the fun run, kids dash, and virtual race receive a key chain medal. Teams may register to compete for awards based on the largest group size and the fastest aggregate time of the first five finishers.
