Event Overview
The Georgia Aquarium 5K: Seahorse is a walk/run event in its ninth year. It offers both an in-person and a virtual participation option. The in-person event takes place at Georgia Aquarium/Pemberton Place in Atlanta. The virtual event can be completed anywhere between March 7 and April 12, 2026.
Course Details
The in-person course is a 3.1-mile "out and back" route. It starts and finishes near recognizable landmarks in downtown Atlanta. This course is a certified qualifier for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race. Strollers are allowed for the in-person event, but dogs are prohibited.
Participant Information
All registered participants receive a runner's bib, a drawstring bag, a commemorative t-shirt, and a collectible finisher medal. The event supports the aquarium's aquatic animal research and conservation initiatives. Packet pick-up occurs on specific days before the race and on the morning of the event at designated locations.
