George Washington Patriot Run
The George Washington Patriot Run is an annual road race held at George Washington's Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, Virginia. The 11th edition takes place on September 13, 2026, and offers two race distances.
The course runs along the Potomac River and includes both lanes of a five mile stretch of the George Washington Parkway from the GW Parkway Circle to W. Boulevard Drive. The finish line is positioned with a view of George Washington's Mansion.

All participants receive a commemorative technical t-shirt and a finisher medal engraved with George Washington's bust. Awards are presented to first place overall, by age division, and in Military and First Responder categories. A Finish Festival follows the races, featuring live music, food and beverage concessions, and one free beer per runner; additional concessions will be available for purchase.
Registration opens February 16, 2026. Published registration fees vary by date: the 5K ranges from $42 to $62 and the 10 miler ranges from $65 to $82. Course maps and elevation profiles are available for the 10 miler and the 5K. Parking requires a purchased parking pass during race registration to guarantee a spot; additional on-site parking at Mount Vernon is not available.
