George W. Buck Boys & Girls Club 5K Run/Walk
The George W. Buck Boys & Girls Club of Joliet 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, on the main campus of Joliet Junior College at 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, IL 60432. The event is an inaugural 5K run/walk and is organized as a non-profit. Registration has a fee of $30 and opens on February 28, 2026. All proceeds and donations go directly to the G W Buck Boys & Girls Club. The club provides educational programming and tutoring, health and life skills, sports and fitness, recreation, and meals through the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Logistics and awards
Packet pick-up is available Friday, May 30 at the G W Buck Boys & Girls Club, 226 E Clinton Street, Joliet, IL 60432, and on Saturday, May 31 at the Law Offices of Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol LLC, 3260 Executive Drive, Joliet, IL 60431. Race morning packet pick-up begins at 7:30 am. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: Under 10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, and 81 and over.
