Darien Dash
The Darien Dash takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Darien Swim & Recreation Club, 1001 Hinsbrook Avenue, Darien, Illinois. This is the 25th annual event presented by the City of Darien and the Darien Business Alliance.
The event includes the following distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile
- Kids Fun Run (ages 5 and under)
Advance and race day fees are listed for paid events: the 10k, 5k, and 1 Mile have separate advance and race day pricing, while the kids fun run is free. Advance rates apply until May 16, 2026.
Each registered, paid runner receives a t-shirt and a complimentary swag bag. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in the 1 Mile, 5k, and 10k at the end of each race. A DJ will provide a warm-up before the kiddie fun run.
Prohibited items include pets, bicycles, scooters, in-line skates, roller skates, and other wheeled items. Participants with baby strollers or joggers are required to be at the rear of race starts. No pets are allowed on the race course.
Parking is available at the DSRC lot on a first come first served basis and via street parking in the surrounding subdivision. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
