The Darien Dash is the 25th annual running event held on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The event takes place at the Darien Swim & Recreation Club, 1001 Hinsbrook Avenue, Darien, IL. It is presented by the City of Darien and the Darien Business Alliance and is supported by local sponsors and partners.

The event includes the following distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile
- Kids Fun Run (ages 5 and under)
Advance registration fees listed are $40 for the 5k, $50 for the 10k, and $30 for the 1 Mile. Race day fees are listed as higher for those distances. The Kids Fun Run is listed as free. Each registered, paid runner receives a t-shirt and a complimentary patriotic swag bag. Awards are given to the top three finishers in the 1 Mile, 5k, and 10k. A DJ provides a warm-up before the races and a free kiddie fun run is included. The race course starts and ends at the Darien Swim & Recreation Club. Pets, bicycles, scooters, in-line skates, roller skates, and other wheeled items are prohibited. Participants with baby strollers or joggers must position themselves at the rear of any race start.
