Event overview
The Darien Dash is the 25th annual running event presented by the City of Darien and the Darien Business Alliance. It takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Darien Swim and Recreation Club, 1001 Hinsbrook Ave, Darien, IL 60561. The course starts and ends at the Darien Swim and Recreation Club. Racecourse access closes just prior to the award ceremony. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each distance.

Advance and on-site fees listed by the organizer: 5k $40 in advance / $45 on race day; 10k $50 in advance / $55 on race day; 1 Mile $30 in advance / $35 on race day. The Kids Fun Run is free.
Additional information
Each registered, paid runner receives a t-shirt and a patriotic swag bag. A DJ provides a music warm-up and a free Kiddie Fun Run. The event lists prohibited items including pets, bicycles, scooters, in-line skates, roller skates, and other wheeled items. Participants using baby strollers or joggers are required to stay at the rear of any race start. The event is supported by local sponsors and partners.
