The Geelong Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 12 April 2026 in Belmont, Geelong. The event is organised by the Geelong Cross Country Club as an annual fundraiser that supports Geelong’s University Hospital, including the Andrew Love Cancer Centre. Entry categories and key deadlines listed by the organiser include entries opening in mid September 2025, an early-bird period to 31 December 2025, postage of bibs for registrations by 15 March 2026 (postage fee applies), and entries closing 10 April 2026 or earlier if sold out. Age limits are set at 16+ for the half marathon and 12+ for the 5 km run.

Course, logistics and prizes
The course runs along the Barwon River from Belmont to Breakwater, then to Fyansford and back to Belmont. The 5 km route uses the first 2 km of the half marathon course, proceeds upstream beside the river and then returns to the finish. The start and finish are near the Belmont Park Pavilion, 162 Barrabool Road (under the James Harrison Bridge, south side of the Barwon River).
Bag storage is provided near the start line; bags should be closed and clearly marked with the event number. Drink stations are located at 5.1 km, 9.1 km, 12.3 km, 14.0 km, 16.5 km, 19.0 km and the finish, with water and sports drink provided as noted by the organiser. All finishers receive a medal and refreshments. Prize structures include overall and age-group awards and cash prizes for top placings in the half marathon and 5 km.
