Geelong Half Marathon
The Geelong Half Marathon is an annual road running event organised by the Geelong Cross Country Club. The 2027 edition is scheduled for Sunday 4 April 2027 and entries are open for the event.
Races are held on a course that runs along the Barwon River in Geelong, moving from Belmont to Breakwater, then up to Fyansford and returning to Belmont. The program includes the half marathon distance and a 5 km run option for participants wanting a shorter route. Organisers describe the course as fast and scenic.
Entry numbers are capped to reduce congestion on the course and at facilities such as toilets, drink stations and parking. The event also functions as the club’s annual fundraiser; entry fees support Geelong’s University Hospital, including the Andrew Love Cancer Centre. In 2026 the club donated $23,000 from the event.
Additional information, frequently asked questions and race maps are provided by the organising club. The event is presented as a community-focused running event operated by the Geelong Cross Country Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
