Event Overview

The Hope Starts Here 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. The event takes place on the East Lawn of Klyde Warren Park at 2051 N. Pearl St in Dallas, Texas. It is an annual event.

Events and Registration

Three event formats are offered:

5K (IN-PERSON)
FUN RUN (IN-PERSON)
5K (VIRTUAL)

Registration for the in-person 5K includes a race t-shirt and a chipped bib for timing. Registration for the in-person Fun Run includes a race t-shirt. Registration for the virtual event includes a race t-shirt and shipping. Prices increase on April 11 and again on race day.

On-Site Activities

Participants are invited to bring a framed photo of a loved one to be displayed on a "wall of hope." A video tribute station is available next to the wall. After the race, post-race activities include free tacos and snow cones, face painting in a kiddie corner, and more.

Awards and Logistics

In-person awards are given for the following categories:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Overall – Male
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Overall – Female
1st Place Overall – Youth (12 and under)

Packet pickup for in-person participants is available on April 30 (9am-6pm) and May 1 (10am-4pm) at the STA Building on 8190 Manderville Lane in Dallas. Virtual participants can complete their run any day and at any location; their race packets will be shipped after race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
