Bigfoot Classic - Galveston
The Bigfoot Classic takes place at Stewart Beach, 401 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX on 01/09/2027. The event offers multiple running options and a virtual distance, with on-course aid stations providing water and assistance.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters for kids 10 and under, not timed
- 1 Mile - 1 mile, not chip timed
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles; custom chip timed bib; limited to first 10
- Virtual Run - 9.33 miles, virtual race
Chip timing is used for specified distances and a custom chip timed bib is provided for the Volunteer then Run option. All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event and there is a shirt guarantee cutoff 10 days before the race.
The event includes live awards with trophies for overall winners and recognition for masters and age-group top finishers. Additional features listed for race day include a DJ who will announce runners, a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments, a Bigfoot mascot for photos and high-fives, and a crowd-judged Legendary Beast costume contest where the winner receives a trophy, a Bigfoot prize pack, and a free future race entry.
