Registration inclusions
Registered participants receive an exclusive event T-shirt, a participation medal, and three free beers. The 5K + Gumbo Stroll combo also includes a Gumbo Stroll tasting cup. The famous Gumbo Stroll ticket is not included with the 5K-only option. Shirt availability and sizes are only guaranteed for registrations completed by September 9, 2026.
Day-of and related activities
Day-of activities include packet pickup/registration, warm-up activities, the 5K run, and post-run activities. A runner’s happy hour and packet pickup take place the day before the race and include a complimentary libation for attendees.

The event meeting area is in the Historic Downtown Strand District at Saengerfest Park, 2302 Strand, Galveston, TX 77550. A portion of proceeds goes to The Justin Hughes Fund at The University of Texas Medical Branch, which raises awareness and provides assistance to medical students experiencing depression.
