FunAPalooza
FunAPalooza is a two mile running event along the Asbury Park and Ocean Grove boardwalks in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The course is untimed; there will be no clock on the course and participants are not ranked by time.
The route includes several themed stops along the boardwalk. The event features awards in lighthearted categories, including best dressed and best dancer. Every participant receives a vintage long sleeve shirt and a vintage medal. Check in takes place at The Iron Whale on the Asbury Park Boardwalk, where each participant also receives a coupon for a free beer or soda.
The event supports the Jersey Shore Dream Center. There is a registration fee of $20.00. The organizer describes the run as a social, noncompetitive experience that emphasizes course stops and event categories over timed results.
