Frozen Trash Panda is a trail race held at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. The event offers two distances:
- 10K
- 1/2 Marathon
The race is capped at 400 runners. All entries include a short-sleeve tri-blend race shirt and a finisher award. Age-group prizes are awarded in the following ranges: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Registration closes December 31. Packet pickup is available at the RunningLane Store on the Friday before the race and the morning of the event.
Course, aid and policies
The courses include bluff views, mountain scenery, creek crossings and waterfalls. Several aid stations are provided with water, electrolyte drinks, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M’s and granola bars. The event is a cupless race; participants must carry a handheld bottle, pack or reusable cup. A reusable cup is available for purchase during registration.
There are very loose course cutoffs; a 17-minute-per-mile cutoff applies for Long Series participants. In severe weather, the race may be delayed or canceled for safety. There are no refunds, deferrals, credits or transfers, and shirts or medals are not mailed after the event.

Frozen Trash Panda is Race 2 of the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series. Marco’s Pizza will provide pizza at the finish line for participants. Volunteer shifts have entry incentives for future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
