Event
Frozen Trash Panda is a trail race held at Monte Sano State Park, 5105 Nolen Ave SE, Huntsville, AL. It is the second race of the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series and offers two distances:
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The course includes bluff views, creek crossings, waterfalls and other mountain scenery. Several aid stations will be on course offering water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's and granola bars. The race is capped at 400 runners. All finishers in both distances receive a t-shirt and a finisher award; the race shirt is a short sleeve tri-blend and the same shirt is used for the entire series.
Logistics and series information
The event follows a cupless policy: participants must bring a handheld bottle, pack or reusable cup. A reusable cup is available for purchase during checkout for $5. Packet pickup is available at the RunningLane Store, 2407 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 1, Huntsville, AL, on Friday, January 2 from 12:00-5:00 PM and the morning of the race. Registration closes on Wednesday, December 31 at 11:59 PM CT.

- December 20, 2025 - Frozen Yeti: 5 Mile, 10 Mile
- January 3, 2026 - Frozen Trash Panda: 10K, Half Marathon
- January 17, 2026 - Frozen Goat: 15K, 30K
