Frozen Trash Panda
Frozen Trash Panda is a trail race held at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. It is the second race in the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series and offers the following distances:
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The field is capped at 400 runners. All entrants in the 10K and half marathon receive a short sleeve tri-blend t-shirt and a finisher award; the shirt is the same for the entire series.
Packet pickup is available at the RunningLane Store on Friday, January 2 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at 2407 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 1, Huntsville, AL 35801. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race from 7:00 to 7:45 AM.
This is a cupless race: runners must carry a handheld bottle, pack, or reusable cup because paper cups are not provided at aid stations. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase at checkout for $5. Several aid stations on course will offer water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, m and m's, granola bars and similar items. Marco's Pizza is listed as a series sponsor and pizza will be available at the finish line.
Age groups are 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Organizers state cutoffs are very loose; Long Series participants face a 17 minute per mile cutoff. Registration closes Wednesday, December 30 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
