Event overview
The Frozen Rails 5K & 10K is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Midway, Kentucky. This is the 9th annual running of the event. The race starts and finishes on West Higgins Street and the race day headquarters is at Midway Baptist Church, 121 South Winter Street, Midway, KY 40347.

Logistics, amenities and charity
Packet pickup is offered at local locations in the days before the race and at the race venue on event day. The event features chip timing by RaceRise, age-group and overall awards, and a commemorative long-sleeved performance T-shirt. Food and drink services include coffee and hot cocoa from a local vendor. A DJ will be on site and there will be a "Best Finish Line Photo" contest. The event runs a canned-goods drive on behalf of the Midway Food Pantry.
Partial proceeds and runner donations will benefit the Midway Ministerial Association, a collaboration of seven Midway-area churches that provides local emergency support and community assistance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
