The Frosty Five Run is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Elkhart, Indiana. The event offers two road/trail distances:
- 5K
- 5 Mile
Both distances start at Studebaker Park Pavilion (1020 McDonald Street) and use paved trails on the River Greenway Trail along the Elkhart River. A new path section was added in 2024. Both distances begin at the same location but start at different times. Custom bib colors distinguish fields: green for the 5K and yellow for the 5 Mile.
Course, logistics and race services
Courses are almost entirely on paved, tree-lined trails; the 5K is described as a lollipop/T-shaped route with two-way traffic on the return, and the 5 Mile adds an initial 1.9 miles that leads into the same section used by the 5K. The course is mostly flat with three very small hills. Parking is available in three park lots accessed from Belmont Street; McDonald Street is part of the course and parking there is discouraged. A large additional lot is noted at Mary Beck Elementary School.
Timing uses Watts My Time RFID shoe tags, which are collected after the race and printed finish labels are available. All finishers receive a memento; top three overall men and women in each distance receive special awards, and top three in 15 standard age groups receive medals. Post-race refreshments and a fire in the pavilion are provided. Dogs may run with a signed waiver and adherence to park rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
