Event
The Frosty Fireman event in Franklin, TN includes a 5k and a 1 Mile Fun Run. It is hosted by the Nashville Fire Fighters Association Foundation to raise funds for families of firefighters who have been killed, injured, or who face illness or hardship. Registration closes Friday, Jan 2 at 11:59 PM CT. Runners registered by December 20 are guaranteed a race shirt; later registrants may experience a delay in receiving a shirt.
Course and logistics
The course uses a 1.1-mile loop known as the "Murder Mile" with a 340-foot elevation gain. The loop features two large climbs, runnable sections, and a downhill through fields back to the start/finish area. The trail is a wide double track on private property located about 10 minutes from downtown Franklin. Packet pickup is listed prior to the race. The event does not allow dogs on the farm; pets are not permitted on site. BMFJ Endurance, the course founders, offers training runs and coaching related to the event.
