Frosty 5K : event overview
FamilyCore's 27th Annual Frosty 5K & Dog Walk is scheduled for January 24, 2026, on the Peoria Riverfront Trail in front of RC Outfitters at 311 SW Water Street, Peoria, Illinois. The event includes a 5K run and a 1-mile walk that allows dogs. An after party will be held at the Peoria Riverfront Museum with race results, refreshments, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit FamilyCore programs and services for children and families in the tri-county area. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.

Packet pickup is available the day before the event at RC Outfitters, and race day packet pickup and registration are available at the same location. Awards include overall prizes to the top male and top female by gun time and age-group awards to the top three males and top three females by net time in these groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. No double dipping is allowed. Families of three can register together for a combined price of $90 when all three register in one transaction.
