From Awareness to Action: Domestic Violence Awareness 5K Walk/Run
From Awareness to Action is a community event on 10/03/2026 at Zoo Miami in Miami, FL (12400 SW 152 St., 33177). The event brings together survivors, families, advocates, community leaders, government agencies, businesses, and supporters to take a stand against domestic violence.
The event features a meaningful 5K walk/run route where participants encounter Steps of Awareness with domestic violence facts, warning signs, messages of hope, and information about available resources. A Resource & Empowerment Village and community partners provide survivor-centered resources and information along with a remembrance component. Registered participants receive a commemorative finisher medal.
Registration opens 9/04/2026 and closes 10/01/2026; the registration fee is $25.00. Participants may walk or run, form teams, support survivors, fundraise, or attend the Resource & Empowerment Village to learn about services and community resources.
