Friends of the Poor Walk and Run
The Friends of the Poor Walk and Run is a community athletic event held in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul and Outreach ministries of the Our Lady of the Wayside, St. Edna, and St. James parishes. These organizations provide assistance to individuals and families residing within the parish boundaries who are experiencing economic difficulties.
Participants can choose from several event categories designed for individuals and families. The course options accommodate both runners and walkers, including specific registrations for households with three or more members. A dedicated shorter course is also available for younger participants.

The event takes place at 434 West Park Street. Online registration is available with credit card payment, and the event offers early bird pricing for those who register in advance.
