9/11 Heroes Run - Chicago, Illinois
The 9/11 Heroes Run - Chicago, Illinois takes place in South Barrington at Community Park. This event is designed to honor the heroes of September 11th and those who have served the nation since. The gathering aims to unite the local community and empower veterans, active duty military, first responders, and families of the fallen.
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5K Run (Individual, Active Duty Military, First Responder, or JROTC)
- 5K Ruck (Individual or Active Duty Military and First Responder)
- 1-Mile Walk
The rucking divisions are held in partnership with GORUCK. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training where participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Those registered for a GORUCK division receive an exclusive rucking patch. The 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk options are open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
