9/11 Heroes Run - Chicago, Illinois

The 9/11 Heroes Run on 09/05/2026 takes place at Community Park, 8 Bridges Dr, South Barrington, IL 60010. The event brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since.

The event aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. Multiple registration options are offered, including an option for JROTC participants that provides a chipped runner bib and eligibility for top finisher awards but does not include an event shirt or swag bag. There are registration categories that recognize active duty military and first responders.

TMF partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions at this run. Rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack and is based on special forces training. All participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive the event’s exclusive TMF GORUCK patch.
