Thin Mint Sprint 2026
The Thin Mint Sprint is an annual event organized by the Fox River Grove Memorial Library Running Club. The 22nd edition of this event takes place at Lions Park, with the course following the Fox River in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Participants can choose between several in-person and virtual options:
- 5K Run/Walk (In-person and Virtual)
- 1-Mile Walk/Run (In-person and Virtual)
The in-person 5K course is a timed fun run. Registration for the event includes a T-shirt, a medal, a patch, and a box of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies. Runners also receive a chipped timing bib and additional race swag items. For those participating in the virtual events, the organization coordinates the mailing of race packets.
The event serves to support Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois (GSNI) financial assistance programs. These programs provide funding for membership fees, uniforms, books, and international travel to help make Girl Scouting accessible to all participants.
On the day of the race, check-in and packet pick-up are available on-site at Lions Park. A post-race party is held immediately following the completion of the runs. Parking for the event is located at 400 Lincoln Ave. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
